Describe the categorization of light sources
Describe the categorization of light sources? Describe briefly?
Expert
The different sources of light are as illustrate below:
i) Point Source:
Point sources are the simplest model for a light emitter. In this, rays from source follow radically diverging paths from the source position that is sources like as LED’s or small bulbs that is, such are the light sources in which the rays of light originate at a point and radially diverge, this type of sources have dimensions fairly smaller as compared to the size of the object.ii) Parallel Source:
Parallel source is to be noted that whenever point sources are at an infinite distance then the light rays are parallel and behaves as parallel source. iii) Distributed Light Source:
It models nearby sources like the long fluorescents light which are modeled in the group of distributed light source. Here all the rays of light originate at a finite region in space.
Explain: a) Addressability b) Dot size c) Inter-dot distance
