The term "biomedical" covers the vast range of subjects - everything which relates biology to the medicine. This may range from the obvious such as Biochemistry, Anatomy, Physiology, Pharmacology, Microbiology, Genetics to the less obvious such as Botany (most drugs were originally deduced from the plants and, therefore, these are the big science known as Phytopharmacology).
