Define the term Event.

When an action proceeds within a class, that class gives a notification to the other classes or objects which are assigned in order to perform the particular tasks. These notifications are known as events. For instance, when a button is hit, the class generates an event called as Click. An event can also be declared with the help of “event” keyword.
