Characteristics of ECL
Explain some of the characteristics of ECL?
Expert
ECL is characterised by the following given points:
a) It consists of an internal pull-down resistor that is connected between every input and negative supply.
b) The differential input circuitry in the ECL gates offers the common mode rejection.
c) The output impedance is considerably small.
d) ECL gates generally have very large fan outs and are considerably unaffected by the capacitive loads.
