Bezier curve is a spline approximation technique developed by the French engineer Pierre Bezier for the use in design of Renault automobile bodies. Bezier splines encompass a number of properties which make them highly helpful and suitable for curve and surface design. They are as well simple to implement.
Bezier splines are broadly available in different CAD systems, in general graphics packages like GL on Silicon Graphics Systems and in the assorted drawing and painting packages like Aldus Super Paint and Cricket Draw.
