The bacterial transformation is a procedure in which the cell frees or nacked DNA comprising the genetic information is transferred from one bacterial cell to the other.

In transduction, the bacteriophages acts as a vector transfer a part of DNA from one bacterium (or donor) to the other (or recipient). This is termed as the transduction.
