Explain, whether fish heart pump arterial or venous blood?

Venous blood which is coming from tissues enters into the atrium and passes to ventricle which then pumps blood towards the gills. After, the oxygenation inside the gills the arterial blood goes into the tissues. So, the fish heart pumps the venous blood.
