Abraham Maslow, a professor at the Brandeis University and practicing psychologist, introduced the hierarchy of needs theory. He recognized a set of requirements which he prioritized to the hierarchy based on the two conclusions.

a) Human requirements are either of an attraction or desire nature or of avoidance nature.
b) Since humans wants beings, when one wish is satisfied, the other desire.
