America is very familiar with GPS technology; it is in cars and cell phones. Now Nike has put it in shoe. It is designed to act as safe guard for individuals who live with Alzheimer's or Dementia. The shoes are leather with polyurethane outsoles for traction; they also have small weights in each heel to assist with stability. To set up the shoe does have to be charged roughly two hours to have a full charge. Nike will have a tracking website; the website shows the current location of the shoes. One can also remote check the status and location of the shoes and the battery level. The shoe also can be tracked by using a smart phone application.
