Discussion Post: Contemporary International Problems
After years of US occupation and presence in Iraq, including the recent US bombings in Syria and Iraq, and the US killing of Soleimani who was leader of the Iranian military guard, the Iraqi people have started to conduct protests in Jan 2020 demanding that US troops leave Iraq.
These anti-US protests are in addition to the ongoing protests decrying corruption, and lack of employment and poor services due to the Iraqi government.
Should US troops pull out of Iraq? Who will fill in the void if we do?
