Evidence-based practice (EBP) is considered the standard for programs and policy. Define EBP and discuss why EBP is critical to moving away from outdated and ineffective programs. Include a discussion as to why corrections organizations have been reluctant to rely on scholarship, research, and the academic community in the past.
