Why cd atoms connected in a three-dimensional network

A solid zinc cadmium, ZnCd(SCN)4, has a tetrahedral Zn and Cd atoms connected in a three-dimensional network by Cd-S=C=N-Zn bridges which are linear at C and , but bent at S. Give a rationale for this connectivity and the bond angles.
