Discussion Questions
1. Successful companies often have missions that proclaim a noble purpose such as improving people's lives, making transportation safer, or improving accessibility to sustainable resources. Leaders frame a noble purpose that inspires and leads their followers. When people have a sense of purpose in their work and are able to see the positive difference their work can make in the world, they may perform at a higher level.
Consider your place of employment or a company where you would like to work. How would you integrate a noble purpose into your workplace? What recommendations would you give someone on how to use his or her noble purpose to inspire coworkers?
2. Being aware of your personal leadership style will help you understand your leadership potential and empower you to lead effectively. A leader's level of self-confidence can affect his or her ability to achieve goals. Complete the self-assessment titled How Self-Confident are You? This self-assessment can be found by clicking on Unit V in the course navigation menu and selecting Nongraded Learning Activities.
