Part 1: Significance of the Need
What identified need or problem have you been discussing as group?
Remember, this is the open-ended "problem" or "opportunity," not the solution. What do you want students to be able to do? (Try to phrase it in a single sentence.)
Why and to what degree (money, numbers of clients, employee time, etc.) does it matter to the organization?
What data do you have about its significance? How will you gather additional data?
Part 2: Root Causes of the Need
Why does this need exist? (There will be multiple causes.)
What prevents LCB students from getting what they want (the need)?
What data do you have about the causes, and where will you look for more through primary or secondary research?
Part 3: Activities to Address the Need
What activities, programs, or initiatives has the LCB tried already to address the need? To what degree have these been successful?
What have been their limitations?
What can you learn from other organizations about how they've tried to address this need? Who will you talk to?
Part 4: Constraints for potential solutions
Before looking at potential solutions, what do you need to know about the constraints the organization needs to work under (money, time and staffing, the law, expertise, etc.)?
What question do you need to ask your client about your specific, assigned?
Format your assignment according to the following formatting requirements:
1. The answer should be typed, double spaced, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides.
2. The response also includes a cover page containing the title of the assignment, the student's name, the course title, and the date. The cover page is not included in the required page length.
3. Also include a reference page. The Citations and references should follow APA format. The reference page is not included in the required page length.
