Homework: Quantitative
You will submit summaries of quantitative and qualitative studies. The purpose of this assignment is to become familiar with published research, research designs, and methodologies. For the assignment, you will select two original or primary research studies: one quantitative research study and one qualitative study related to the field of nursing. You will write an abstract of each study.
o The selected articles should be original research studies.
o Review articles, concept analysis, meta-analysis, meta-synthesis, integrative review, and systemic review should NOT be used.
o Mixed-methods studies should not be used.
Address the following questions in each of your abstracts:
a. What type of research is it (quantitative, qualitative)?
b. What was the research question(s) or hypothesis?
c. What is the sample (population), the sample size, and sample attributes (characteristics)?
d. What is the setting (facility type, location, and country) of the study?
e. What were the researcher's results and findings? (Identify one that clearly measures the dependent variable or objective of the research.)
Format your homework according to the following formatting requirements:
(1) The answer should be typed, double spaced, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides.
(2) The response also includes a cover page containing the title of the homework, the student's name, the course title, and the date. The cover page is not included in the required page length.
(3) Also include a reference page. The Citations and references should follow APA format. The reference page is not included in the required page length.
