An Executive Summary is a one-page document that outlines the purpose, process, findings, discussion, and findings of a report submitted to management. CEOs often read and assess an Executive Summary before deciding to read the entire report, so this must be high quality narrative that demonstrates the significance of the work undertaken, the objectivity of research and analysis underpinning the report, and the credibility of the resulting conclusions.

This unit you are asked to make an executive summary. I just wanted to provide everyone a little advice before you get started.
In your writing, think about would you will address in your paper and relate it to the summary. What is the intent of the summary? State this. If you've done some research already, try to provide some examples in some sections. For instance, if you state in your summary that you will discuss the pros and cons of expansion in the EU, state briefly the advantages and roadblocks that an outside company could face. If you feel comfortable, you can even state if global expansion is a wise or difficult discussion based on your current research. Hopefully the summary will help you pinpoint the focus of what you want to say in your final paper.
