Part 1: Working with your Supervisor
This Part I would like to discuss the relationship you have with your On-Site Supervisors at your internship sites. What does a conversation with your Supervisor look like? How often do you speak with your Supervisor outside of scheduled supervision time? Is there structure to your conversations or are they more relaxed? How do you feel supervision is contributing to you as a new counselor? (Your discussion should not be limited to just answering these questions.)
Part 2: Challenging Issue
For this Part, discuss challenging situations that you have had thus far in your counseling training and questions that you may still have about it and/or how you have handled it.
Part 3: Other Theories
For this Part's discussion, please choose a theoretical approach that you maybe less versed in, would typically not use and/or want to understand more about and discuss it. Describe that theoretical approach in your own words and apply it to a case. As a well-rounded counselor, it is important for us to have a good understanding and be well-versed in the varying approaches to treatment...as well as be up-to-date with the latest treatment approaches. Have fun with this.
Part 4: Assessing yourself
Welcome to our last Part of class. Thank you all for you wonderful contribution to discussion and to this class. I hope that this semester has been a stepping stone for more exciting learning experiences for you in the future. For this Part's post, please reflect back during the semester and talked about what you have learned about yourself as a therapist. In what areas have you grown, professionally and personally? What are your goals for yourself as you enter next semester?
Format your assignment according to the following formatting requirements:
1. The answer should be typed, double spaced, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides.
2. The response also includes a cover page containing the title of the assignment, the student's name, the course title, and the date. The cover page is not included in the required page length.
3. Also include a reference page. The Citations and references should follow APA format. The reference page is not included in the required page length.
