Assignment: Reflective Practitioner Journal Response 5-Rubrics, Performance Assessment, and the ELL
In this assignment, you will write the fifth reflective journal response of this course. You will complete writing all the six journal responses in the next module.
Using the module readings and the readings from previous modules, Argosy University online library resources, and the Internet, research rubrics and scoring guides. Then, write a paper reflecting on the following:
- Describe how rubrics assist with the performance assessment of literacy skills.
- Describe holistic and analytic rubrics. How are they alike? How are they different? How do they assist the ELL teacher with performance assessment?
- Research strategies that would be effective in developing written language. Discuss two strategies in depth that you could use in your classroom.
- What are rubrics and scoring guides? Describe how they assist the teacher with performance assessment and interpreting student work.
Your answers should address the specified topic by making connections between the recent readings and earlier class material and your professional experiences.
