You must Watch the video lecture, "The Better Angles of Our Nature" by Professor Steven Pinker and create a paper about the video. (The link to the video is in Course Information). In your paper state Professor Pinker's thesis on the reduction of violence and list the evidence that is presented for the fact, according to him, humans are now living in the least violent and most peaceful time in recorded, human history. After you present the evidence describe ALL the reasons Pinker gives for why violence has declined and then discuss your personal reaction to the lecture. Of particular importance in reviewing the lecture are the changes that have occurred in our relationship to one another (our "human relations") since the enlightenment, and the reasons Professor Pinker provides for this continuing change in human nature.
