Problem:
Present a good example with detail information supporting both sides of the given argument/debate and recommendation as to how we would implement an SE approach to achieve project success.
Project Management topic of debate: Systems Engineering (SE) implementation - Do you need an SE approach within your project?
Research both sides of the given argument (i.e., what are the pros- advantages and cons- disadvantages of system engineering within a project?) and in your paper present the issues, the case for both sides and based on the application at a Research, Development and Engineering Facility/Company, what your recommendation would be with justification.
Grounds rules:
1. Paper limited to three pages
2. No less than three sources (no more than two internet sources)
3. Use proper "citing"
4. Prepare a five minute presentation (using Microsoft PowerPoint) of the issue, the sides of the argument and your recommendation
Debates Guidelines:
1. Establish the Pro and Con arguments for the above topic and find supporting information (facts, statistics, quotes, expert opinion) that support your arguments.
2. You might want to answer the following questions:
What is the "yes" position? What are three pieces of evidence to support it?
Is the evidence credible (i.e., is it a fact or an opinion)?
What is the "no" position? What are three pieces of evidence to support it?
Is the evidence credible (i.e., is it a fact or an opinion)?
What are the three main areas of disagreement between the two sides?
What is your position? Why?
