Assignment: Becoming a Community Organizer: Students are to write a 5 (min) to 7 (max) page paper (not including title or reference pages).
The assignment will describe:
• The characteristics of a consensus organizer
• Identify those features that the student possesses and those that may need more work.
• Select an issue that the student would be involved with as a community organizer.
• Students will describe the issue and explain how they could play a role as a community organizer, including identifying the approach they would take (e.g. asset-building) and the necessary steps they may need to take to address the problem.
