Show the Workplace Security
In recent days, numerous incidents of civil disobedience have occurred in many Middle Eastern countries and Europe. Some experts attribute many of the social media, i.e. Facebook, cell phones, and others, as contributing to the massing of citizens and ultimately to some of the violence seen on the various news outlets. Recently, officials with the San Francisco transportation systems, Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART), shut down cell phone services in some of their subway stations reportedly for safety and security purposes and in an effort to prevent or minimize a planned demonstration. From a security point of view, was this appropriate actions taken by BART or did this cross Constitutional protection lines? What are your thoughts?
