Chapter 4

Chapter 5

1. What are the employee needs outlined in Maslow's hierarchy, and how can an organization satisfy these needs?

2. What is the distinction between procedural, interactional, and distributive justice? List ways in which you could increase each of these justice perceptions.

3. What is the connection between a company's reward system and the level of ethical behaviors?

PROJECT

The focus for this project is on designing jobs so that they more fully elicitintrinsic motivation.

The reading introduces a Job Characteristics Model that includes five importantjob characteristics that are linked to intrinsic motivation and job satisfaction. Watch video titled "Characteristic of Job Design" in which I describe my job as a manager. (This video can be found under Resources as a separate item.) Asyou watch the video listen for examples of the five job characteristics (you may have to watch thevideo a couple of times to catch them all).
