Your supervisor has asked you to prepare a 5-year career plan that begins after you have earned your College Degree. She has explained that your plan should be prepared regardless of whether you plan to stay with your current organization/business. To accomplish this you will need to use the library and the internet to identify the specific information needed within your career plan.
1. Begin your plan by identifying the industry in which you work (manufacturing, service industry, government, nonprofit, etc.) your current job title, and your current responsibilities (be specific). (If you are not currently employed, you may use your most recent job).
2. Find your professional expectations within 1 year of completing your degree. Name the type of industry, the position title you believe you can attain in 1 year, and the actions you need to take to be eligible for promotion or hiring into that position.
