Plot field distributions at the beam waist using matlab

1. Use MatLab to plot the amplitude and phase of the following

Gaussian modes at the beamwaist. (a) TEM00 (HG00); (b) HG01; (c) HG11; (d) LG01; (e) LG11.

2. Computer Project:

Use MatLab to plot the following field distributions(amplitude) at the beam waist.

(a) HG10 polarized at x direction;

(b) HG01 polarized at direction;

(c) What happens if you add (a) and (b) together? Plot the intensity distribution and comment on the polarization of the combined beam;

(d) Instead, if you add HG10 polarized at -y direction with HG01 polarized at x direction (we simply switched thepolarization!), what would be the amplitude distribution and what happens to the polarization? (e) What if you add HG10 polarized in x direction with HG01 polarized in x direction as well, What would be the polarization of the superposed beam?
