Task 1:
Identify the business you are doing an analysis on and describe their practices and approaches to e-business technologies within their business - this could be from local business's in your area or maybe a business you currently work for. This analysis should not just simply report on what the business does, but also where they're placed within the overall market - which their competitors are, what challenges they pose and what alliances they have with other organisations.
Task 2:
Having identified and analysed the business, you are now required to learn about their practices, their current technological infrastructure and their ability and willingness to adopt new technologies. Document your findings and the new technologies that can help the business improve their business processes. Your documentation should include business models and relations, the business's technological infrastructure, which would include what middle-ware the business employs and e-business market structures with relation to the business's competitors.
Task 3:
Make a proposal to the company from your findings on what e-business technologies you would like to integrate into their business. This could include modifying the business's architecture, should they use a service-orientated architecture or do they already? Could using XML and web services benefit the business or do they already use this? Conclude by justifying your findings and your proposed improvements for the business with relation to e-business technology.
