Making the models work for you

We have analyzed a broad variety of instructional models which you will have the opportunity to use as future educators. Such models become part of your instructional repertoire as an educator. The authors of your text have expressed a desire that they 'want teachers at all grade levels and in all content areas to believe that the most significant thing they have to teach students is the process of learning' (Estes et al, 2011). Respond to the given questions:

a) How do you see the instructional models we have learned regarding helping you to attain the goal the authors of your text have expressed?

b) Good teachers use a diversity of instructional models in their classrooms. Which models seem to be a "good fit" for your personality and teaching approach? Which models will be more challenging for you?

c) How will you choose instructional models to be employed with students in your own classroom? How will you make sure that you are meeting the requirements of all students?
