1. In the PERT variation in which activities are associated with arrows, boxes represent the completion of the activities. For example, instead of "build scanner," which is an activity, a box would say "scanner coded," which is an event. Draw a PERT chart with this new convention for the previous example of a compiler.
2. For the PERT chart of decorate the boxes with the following dates that are of interest in different scheduling situations: earliest start time, earliest finish time, latest allow-able start time, latest allowable finish time.
