1. In my experience with organizational change it has been brought on by the merging or acquisition of one or multiple companies. I have most recently dealt with this organization change with in the last year.

The change was exciting and everyone was anxious to see how this merging would grow individuals and the organization. In my experience, the merge was a great organizational move but was very difficult on the employees, primarily the front line employees that interact with the clients on a daily basis.

As with any growth there is going to be growing pains but for me the growing pains were not in favor of my situation. I lived 45 miles away from the office and with traffic my commute was about an hour one way. That was a large strain on myself and my family.

When I was hired with the company I was promised a 3-4 day work from home opportunity but due to the growth that was thrown out and my ability to work from home was now canceled. Again, growth for the company was great but for my particular circumstance it was very difficult.

2. I had the opportunity to work for a company for over seven years. It seemed to me that whenever we had a new District Manager, the new person always wanted to out their stamp on the way we worked.

It did not matter if what we were doing was working, the new managers wanted to do things their way. One particular time, the district was functioning well and our DM was promoted.

The New DM wanted to come in and change many of the processes that had been successful under the old DM. As a group we were very hesitant to change things. We were not given a good enough reason to make changes other than the new person wanted to do things their way.
