1. Sometimes when we look at certain leaders, it may seem like they have super powers because they are able to do such a great job in the midst of horrible challenges. If you were a leader, what would be your super power of choice and why? What leader can you name that seemed to exhibit super powers and what strong characteristics do you think made up for it?
2. A long time ago, I received the 48 Laws of Power by Robert Greene as a gift. It was not long before these 48 powers were no longer a secret and everyone had the book. When looking at a share of secrets in this massive account of theoretical and historical views of power, can it be said that a shared secret is one that can definitely be implemented, or does a person still need to possess a certain something in order to be able to master these laws?
3. How would you define power? How would you define influence? What are some distinctions between power and influence in an organizational setting? How may power and influence positively affect an organization? How may power and influence negatively affect an organization? Provide specific examples to support your answer.
