Assignment
So the assignment is a discussion board assignment that is due tonight at 11:59 PM cst. The discussion board post is about the topic of my paper in my community psychology class. We are told to choose a social issue/problem and identify the target population/community. The social issue that I have chosen to be my topic will be the broken family structure in the African American community.
So the social issue would be broken family structure, and the target population is the African American/black community.
The following questions will need to be answered, each needs to be a paragraph or so long and must include references from peer reviewed journals.
What is the social problem or issue?
Who is the target population?
Explain why you chose this topic and population. Why is this issue important? (I chose the black population because I, myself am a black woman and I grew up In a broken family household)
How is this issue relevant to community psychology?
Describe potential ecological risk factors that predict the problem/issue. The ecological risk factors have to be outside of the individual level.
Provide a bibliography with 7-10 references that will support your papers. At least 6 of your references should be academic articles from peer-reviewed journals. Below is a list of recommended journals to help you find articles for your paper.
Format your assignment according to the following formatting requirements:
1. The answer should be typed, double spaced, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides.
2. The response also include a cover page containing the title of the assignment, the student's name, the course title, and the date. The cover page is not included in the required page length.
3. Also Include a reference page. The Citations and references should follow APA format. The reference page is not included in the required page length.
