Assignment: Web Store Design Layout Project
Builds on itself in order to help you to design a web store layout. After watching the video lecture, continue to research and thoughtfully develop your web store. The questions/topics below will help you to begin the process.
In a Word .doc, write an essay answering/discussing each of the question/topics below. Make sure to include references.
1. What naming conventions would you use to name your webpage files and why? Support your answer using the rules of naming conventions. (slide 2)
2. What is your site trying to achieve? What is your goal in developing this site? (slide 4)
3. What niche do you intend to serve? After doing your own research, how would your site fits in with your competitors? (slides 4)
4. What will you bring to the table to attract customers that your competitors do not? (slide 5)
5. Define your target audience. (slides 6 & 7)
6. Define your business model in detail including the revenue model and financing. (slides 8-10)
7. Envision how you will develop and maintain your CRM. (slide 11)
8. Imagine that you are looking for the items on your site. List all search words that you would use, including phrases. (slide 12)
9. What inventory strategy would your site employ? Estimate overhead. (slides 16 & 17)
10. How do you plan to handle order fulfillment? (slides 15-18)
11. How do you plan to handle sales taxes? (slide 19)
Format your assignment according to the following formatting requirements:
1. The answer should be typed, double spaced, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides.
2. The response also includes a cover page containing the title of the assignment, the student's name, the course title, and the date. The cover page is not included in the required page length.
3. Also include a reference page. The Citations and references should follow APA format. The reference page is not included in the required page length.
