Government has decided to construct a tunnel via le Pouce Mountain to provide an alternative access to Port Louis for road users coming from the east. Assuming that roads on both side of the Mountain are available and can be connected via the tunnel.
There are no details available except for topographic maps, aerial photography of the area and traffic counts on the road network in the vicinity of the project area.
