Problem:
Talk about GM's current mental model, its limits and powers. Test the relevance of GM's mental model against the changing environment (increasing gas price, higher standards like Euro III) and market, then provide a new mental model, also, develop an integrated portfolio of models.
GM mental model is: They are afraid of change.
A mental mindset is the perception that each of us percieves the world to be, the brain processes that guide our images in our mind and the thought processes that determine the outcome of data that is collected and then delivered into a mental state. The forces that guide and influence our mental mindset or model is our upbringing, our pre-concieved thought images and values. As the reading suggest we often take in a small percentage of the incoming stream of images and throw away the rest to suit our own needs. From a personal view standpoint the mental model / mindset that has limited my decision making due to the environment that I grew up in, the work environment that I perform in and the environment that I continue to learn in.....
