India with a population of 1.2 billion (as per 2011 population census) has currently around 275 million tobacco users. By 2020 tobacco will account for more than 1.5 million Indian deaths a year. Public policy makers will like tobacco consumption to be brought down substantially. What are the various ways in which this objective can be achieved? Explain with appropriate demand and supply diagram.
