Each stock exchange sets criteria that must be met for a stock to be listed on the exchange. The NYSE refers to their requirements as “Listing Standards.” The NASDAQ refers to the requirements as “Listing Qualifications.” Go to the following websites and find the listing requirements for the NYSE and NASDAQ. Discuss how the listing requirements on these exchanges differ.

Exchanges also have “continued listing standards.” Using the security research engine on either the NYSE or the NASDAQ, search for stocks that do not meet the continued listing standards. For at least one stock, indicate the variable that would lead to the stocks being delisted.
