Principles and Strategies used to Develop Message

Effective messaging involves careful consideration of the campaign's purpose, goals and audience (Saulnier, 2014). In developing my media message, I made sure that it was clear in addressing the problem at hand, that is, underserved individuals and families in my community in matters of health and human services, and the solution to the problem which is the purchase of a mobile screening bus capable of traversing rural areas of the county. I also made sure my message was compelling. A compelling media message addresses the reasons why the target audience should care about the main theme passed across in a particular message (Perloff, 2017). Making the media message concise is vital. One needs to get his or her point across with a minimum of words (Saulnier, 2014).

Justification of how Media Message is Ethical

The media message above meets ethical standards due to the following reasons. Firstly, it considers the impact of undertaking a particular course of action. It is important to let the audience know how their contribution to a given campaign will lead to social change (Roberts, 2012). Secondly the media message clearly outlines how the money obtained through donations will be used. Accountability is an essential value when relaying media messages (Roberts, 2012).
