Expository Essay Assignment
Write an expository essay on ONE of the following topics. Choose your topic carefully and spend some time planning or outlining your essay.
In addition, your essay should reflect the knowledge you have gained this semester about elements of essay writing such as thesis statements, topic sentences, transitions and tone. Your essay should use Standard English grammar and sentence structure.
ESSAY TOPICS -
1. Many people who enter college never graduate in the expected number of years for their programmes. Write an expository essay in which you explore reasons why many college students do not graduate on time.
2. We all experience success differently and excel in different ways. Write an expository essay in which you explain how you achieved success in a specific event, area, sport, school, etc.
3. "Charity begins at home" is a common saying. Explain how people living in the Cayman Islands can apply this saying to daily living.
4. Each semester, UCCI students meet new people on campus. Explain how students can make new friends on campus.
5. Procrastination is a struggle for everyone, especially students. Write an expository essay in which you explain how UCCI students can resist and overcome procrastination.
