After reading this article I was able to understand a little bit more about aligning IT to the business needs. This is what we have been doing at the company I work for. I currently work in the Telecom area but to better meet the needs of the company we are joining with the Network department as well. I have heard these terms for a while now but I didn't really understand that this is all a part of EA. One of the other things brought up in this article is that portfolio management and architecture management are complementary. Until reading this I didn't understand what the difference really was. Now I understand that architecture management is about the maintenance while the portfolio management is responsible for allocating resources.
All in all there was a lot of good information and I was able to see the real life use of it.
