The essay topic is to be chosen from one of the three topics listed below: Choose ONE topic from the following list:
1. Critically evaluate research on one of the Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLDs) and discuss how research findings can be applied to educational settings to improve academic performance.
2. Critically evaluate research on autism and discuss how research findings can be applied to mainstream education practices to aid social interaction in children with autism.
For this assignment, you will have to find ONE scholarly article related to the topic of your interest and critically analyze it. To support your argument you will have to have a minimum of 15 other articles that you will have to cite in order to get this assignment approved.
In your essay, you will be expected to critically discuss and report primary evidence on the topic from an applied educational perspective. The essay will make up 50% of the total module grade. You will be provided with written feedback using the feedback sheet below. It is therefore advisable that you familiarise yourself with the criteria and plan your work to achieve them.
Format your assignment according to the following formatting requirements:
1. The answer should be typed, double spaced, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides.
