Problem: White collar crimes are crimes committed not because of poverty, but because of social greed, social acceptance, and personal greed. Street crimes are often committed by individuals who experience poverty, may be unemployed or underemployed, and may have low education. Ethics is what an individual or organization ought to do. During the manufacturing of the Pinto, Ford followed the federal safety standards as they where currently written during this time in history. Although Ford had the ability to change its design of the Pinto to prevent explosion and the loss of lives, the company chose to continue with the current design.
