Your company ABC Consulting Company is asked to provide a proposal for the upcoming company expansion. You will need to research and provide quotes for new computers, cabling, network security and type of network topology. A Network proposal has to be developed for a manufacturing company that plans to move to a larger facility.
They are currently in a 1500 square foot building. Below is the current office setup.
1) Reception - 1 computer and printer
2) CEO Office - 1 computer and printer
3) Accounting Office - 5 computers and 5 printers
4) Business Office - 3 computers and 3 printers
5) Human Resources - 2 printers and 2 printers
6) Sales Office - 10 computers and 10 printers
They are moving to a 3500 square foot building with 3 floors and each floor will have switches and routers to accommodate that floor. Below are the proposed additions:
CEO Secretary - 1 computer and printer (CEO's office area)
1) Chief Financial Officer - 1 computer and printer (Accounting Department)
2) Secretary - Chief Financial Officer - 1 computer and printer (Accounting Department)
3) Information Technology - 2 computers and 2 printers
4) Breakroom - 2 computers
5) Human Resources - 6 computers and 2 network printers
6) Sales - 6 computers and 2 network printers
7) Wireless network for employees and guests
8) Each department will have at least 2 empty offices for additional employees.
9) Your proposal will need to include the following information:
10) Determine the number of drops for the new facility (2 drops per office)
11) Determine the type of network cables (CAT5e, CAT6, etc.)
12) Determine the type of security for the network
13) Determine type of hardware and software
Format your assignment according to the following formatting requirements:
(1) The answer should be typed, double spaced, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides.
(2) The response also includes a cover page containing the title of the assignment, the student's name, the course title, and the date. The cover page is not included in the required page length.
(3) Also include a reference page. The Citations and references should follow APA format. The reference page is not included in the required page length.
