Questions
1. Whenever a KM strategy is being planned, they are several questions that need to be asked to determine the appropriate strategy. Questions such as, What knowledge will be shared?, How will knowledge be shared? With whom will the knowledge be shared?, Why should knowledge sharing be done?
Why are questions like this important to a successful KM strategy?
2. Recently you were promoted to lead Knowledge Management project manager. You are now in phase two of the implementation. Your current responsibility is to identify and test appropriate Knowledge Management tools for your organization. What steps will you take to accomplish this?
3. Soon after assuming your new management position, you realize that the flow of information and knowledge in your department are non-existent. Explain the barriers that often exist in organizations and how you plan to identify and remedy them.
4. Why is it critical to find a Knowledge Managmenchampion within an organization? Explain who this person(s) might be and the value they have to the overall Knowledge Management process.
5. Please elaborate on the following two Knowledge Managment principles;
a. Knowledge Management must be woven into the corporate infrastructure.
b. Technology is a catalyst, not a panacea.
