Discussion Post: Emotion & Nuero Disorders
After learning about the role of the brain in emotion, stress, and psychiatric disorders, imagine that you are a community health practitioner working with individuals who suffer from one of the following disorders:
o Anxiety
o Depression
o Stress
o Phobia
o Tourette syndrome
o Schizophrenia
Select one disorder and research at least one type of intervention that can be used to treat it. Determine how the intervention can improve the condition and how it changes the way the patients' brain functions. This could include pharmacological therapies and/or behavioral therapies.
