Determination in the laboratory using lime water

Calculate the lime requirement (LR) of a soil in tonnes CaCO3/ha-20 cm given the following results of a LR determination in the laboratory using lime water (Ca(OH)2) where (Ca(OH)2) has a CaCO3 equivalent of 134%.

Mass of air-dry soil = 10 g

Moisture content of air-dry soil = 6%

Molarity of lime water (LW) = 0.009 mol/L

Volume of LW used to raise soil pH to 7 = 45 ml

Bulk density of top 20 cm of soil = 1.4 g/cm3
