ASSIGNMENT PROMPT: White Paper

Overview:

The final step in the design thinking process is to establish a prototype of our solution to start to get some feedback on its effectiveness to determine whether or not to move forward with the idea. So how do we build in a process of evolving our ideas so that it becomes a part of our organizational culture.

This week we will also complete the last segment of the Design Thinking as applied to your individual projects and pull it all together in a finalized White Paper.

PROMPT:

Using your individual problem/goal you should now be able to complete your White Paper laying out the abstract, problem, research, ideation process, prototype process for your solution, and conclusion.

You can build upon the first section submitted earlier in the course and complete the final areas including:

· Framing Insights based on your research

· Description of idea generation along with list of top three ideas for your problem's solution

· Evaluation rationale that brought you to the selection of your final idea

· Description of how you plan to prototype (or pilot) the recommended solution. Include a drawing, flow chart or schema of the prototype

· Description of how you gather feedback from "users" and timeline for review of the feedback.

· Conclusion

Your audience should be the individual(s) you addressed in the proposal memo and should include a separate reference page as needed.

Minimum of 7 pages. Use APA. (Be careful of originality/plagiarism as this will be submitted through an online checker.)
