1) Describe the process by which the Constitution was created in the summer of 1787, and explain how it became the law of the land. Were there critics who wanted to continue with the Articles of Confederation?

3) Describe the formation of America's first two political parties, the Democratic-Republicans and the Federalists. What were their major differences, and who were the best-known members of each party?
