Very organization would like to select the "best qualified" person for a job. But there is no one "best qualified". Companies have been examining the value of the traditional interview and have turned to a variety of other assessments in order to identify people who will likely succeed in the job. In technical fields, for example, it is common to use assessments to test technical knowledge. EAL has to hire a large number of people and identify those who have the potential to complete the training in new technical skills for the job.
Create a 2-page memo addressed to the CHRO that summarizes the pros and cons of personal interviews and other assessments of candidates. This assessment is intended to guide HR personnel in their recruitment efforts.
