Assignment: Geolocation-What's the Big Deal?
Many of us have probably been on a website that has asked us if we would like to "share" our location information to either improve the browsing experience or to enhance a search. In fact, geolocation is becoming extremely popular on websites now and web developers are becoming increasingly focused on providing customized browsing experiences on the basis of a user's location.
Tasks:
In a minimum of 250 words, respond to the following:
• Consider or find a website that uses some sort of geolocation to either enhance a search or to customize the search experience.
• Share your thoughts on whether or not you believe this feature was beneficial on this particular website.
• Consider some drawbacks and even potential security concerns that may arise for users when using geolocation.
