We don't live in a two-dimensional world. Would shifting your point of view change how you view the object? Are there any objects around your desk which might not be distinguishable? You can do a simple experiment, and take a pen off your desk and rotate it. Note how distinct the pen looks as it rotates. How is your brain capable to compensate for this, whereas the best computers out there can not even come close?
